Prashanth has more than ten years of consulting and research experience in transport infrastructure across toll roads, electric buses, rail, intelligent mobility, development planning, road safety, and public-private partnerships, including two years in mobile software.

At Steer, he primarily plays a leading role in transaction advisory and due diligence projects. He uses his project management and technical skills like demand modelling and forecasting, analysis of large transport datasets, commercial due diligence, policy research and GIS/cartography to provide robust client-oriented solutions. He has worked with a wide variety of clients spanning sectors and geographies, including leading domestic toll operators and international investors, financiers/lessors, multilateral development banks, real-estate developers, and governments across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Prashanth has studied about 70 toll roads and 7 rail projects across the world including Ireland, Spain, Portugal, India and Canada. Recent projects relating to electric buses include business and financial modelling analysis for TransJakarta’s (Indonesia) bus fleet electrification, intercity bus fleet electrification in Pakistan, commercial and market due diligence for e-buses and commercial vehicles in Western Europe, recommendations to improve the bankability of e-bus procurement in India.

Before Steer, Prashanth carried out research and consulting work at IIM Ahmedabad, largely on infrastructure PPPs. During his Masters at ITS Leeds, he worked on pioneering research exploring the application of political economy analysis for implementing pedestrian safety in Indian cities.
