An update on SDG's projects in New York

Steer Davies Gleave has been very busy in New York over the past year, and we have been involved in a number of high-profile ferry and transit projects.

Long Island and Metro North Rail Road, the two largest commuter rail services in North America, commissioned SDG to develop new ticket sales and ridership forecasting models for them. For the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, SDG was part of a team that completed an extensive economic analysis of the value of the agency’s capital plan for the New York metropolitan region.

We have also been working for the Staten Island Ferry, the largest ferry service in North America.  For them, we developed an economic and environmental analysis in support of a major grant application that resulted in an award of $192 million to purchase new vessels.  We also completed the ridership and economic analysis of a planned extension of their overnight ferry service.

Lastly, our New York team is providing planning and forecasting services to Kitsap Transit in Washington State and to Translink in Vancouver.
